無安打投手看完全比賽紐維拉也驚奇

統一獅洋投瑞安7日投出完全比賽，遭完全比賽的對手正是本季完成2次無安打比賽的中信兄弟，曾在9月份完成無安打比賽的洋投紐維拉8日出席二軍個人獎項頒獎典禮，對於親眼見證完全比賽，他說：「最後還是再見全壘打，真的是很驚奇的一場比賽。」

紐維拉本季是中信兄弟第4號洋投，在升上一軍前常駐二軍出賽，合計二軍出賽12場比賽，以2.66防禦率和75次三振拿下二軍防禦率王和三振王，升上一軍後，在9月28日對戰Lamigo桃猿隊，投出中職史上第8場無安打比賽，同時也是繼艾迪頓之後本季第二場。

而就在不到10天後，中信兄弟遭統一獅瑞安投出台灣史上首場完全比賽，身在敵隊陣營的休息室全程目睹完全比賽，他說：「這是一個難得的經驗，自己曾以隊有身分看過無安打比賽，自己也投過無安打比賽，這次則看到自己球隊被完全比賽，是自己從沒想過的。」

紐維拉過去在小聯盟時期雖然沒和瑞安當過隊友，但曾經對戰過對彼此有著一面之緣，來到台灣後看到他投出完全比賽，賽後還是恭喜他投出了一場厲害的比賽。

雖然中華職棒是以打者火力凶猛著稱，但今年發生了2場無安打和1場完全比賽，紐維拉笑說：「棒球甚麼事情都可能發生，像我們身為投手，就要很快做出反應，例如這三場比賽，身為投手的我們就是把該做的事情完成，才能有這麼稀有的紀錄。」
